Expand Your Living Space With A Mirror

Mirrors are great for expanding spaces. A well chosen and located mirror can make even the smallest of rooms appear much larger.
Interior designers are all aware of how, by changing the colours on the walls, the percieved size of a room can be changed. Darker colours will tend to make a room appear smaller and lighter colours will tend to make a room look larger. Another popular trick employed by interior designers is the careful placement of mirrors.
A large antique victorian mirror can provide a valuable focal point in a modern room that may not have a chimney breast or fireplace. Many people are now choosing televisions which, when turned off, become mirrors. A top quality antique or reproduction mirror, along with a carefully selected colour scheme and subtle lighting, can transform a modern, small room by making it appear much larger with a clear point of focus.
Many of us live in modern houses and flats where the ceilings are relatively low and the rooms smaller. Decorating using pale colours along with a few carefully chosen and located mirrors can make these small rooms appear much larger. A great ‘trick’ if you are trying to sell or let a small property.
